Design a bandsaw box and get a to-scale, printable template in seconds. Set the box size and number of drawers, print at 100%, and trace straight onto your wood. Includes a cut list and a 1″ scale check so your print is exact.
A bandsaw box is cut from a single solid block this size. Hardwood like maple, walnut or cherry works best.
Solid line = cut the drawer blank. Dashed line = hollow the drawer to this wall thickness.
Hit Print Template and make sure your print dialog is set to 100% / Actual Size (not “Fit to page”). Measure the 1″ scale square on the printout to confirm — if it’s not exactly 1 inch, adjust your scale and reprint.
Spray-glue the template to your wood block, or cut it out and trace around it. The solid lines are cut lines; the dashed lines show where to hollow each drawer to the wall thickness you chose.
Use a 1/4″ or 3/16″ blade for the curves. Dense hardwoods (maple, walnut, cherry) give the cleanest drawer fit. Stock 3–5″ thick makes a nicely proportioned box.
Template is a planning aid — always verify the 1″ scale square after printing and cut on the waste side of your lines.

Set your printer to “Actual Size / 100%” and measure the 1″ scale square on the page. If it isn’t exactly one inch, your printer is scaling — turn off “fit to page” and reprint.
